Catholic Rosary

Privacy Policy

Catholic Rosary is built to be a quiet companion for prayer. We collect no personal data, require no account, and do not show ads. Everything that matters — your settings, your prayer journal, your in-progress session — stays on your device.

What we store, where

The app uses your device's local storage (localStorage and sessionStorage) to remember:

All of this lives only on your device. We do not have a server that stores it. You can erase it any time by using "Reset All Progress" in Settings, or by uninstalling the app.

What we do not collect

Notifications

If you turn on the daily Rosary reminder or the 3:00 PM Mercy Hour reminder, the app asks your operating system to deliver those notifications at the chosen time. The notifications fire locally on your device — no notification service of ours is involved. You can disable them at any time from Settings, or revoke notification permission from your phone's system settings.

Crash reporting

To find and fix bugs, the app uses Sentry to send a stack trace when an unexpected error happens. We have configured Sentry to:

If you would prefer to send no crash data at all, please contact us at milanjeggy18@gmail.com and we will provide a build with crash reporting fully disabled.

Children

The app contains no advertising, no user-generated content, no chat, and no data collection. It is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect any data from children, because we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Third parties

The PWA version of the app, when loaded from catholicrosary.netlify.app, is served by Netlify (our hosting provider). Netlify's standard server logs (IP, user-agent, timestamp) apply. The installed native apps do not contact our servers except to load fonts (Google Fonts) on first launch and to send the optional crash reports described above.

Changes to this policy

If anything material changes, we will update this page and bump the "Last updated" date. Because the app stores nothing about you on our side, there is no migration of historical data to worry about.
